Dr. L. Venkata Subramaniam

Dr. L.Venkata Subramania was born in New Delhi, India. He received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mysore University, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University, St. Louis, USA, and the Ph. D. degree in Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India. He joined IBM Research India in 1998 where currently lead a team of world class researchers developing the next generation Data and Knowledge Engineering technologies and a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and an IBM Master Inventor. He enjoy teaching and interacting with students, often teach at IIT Delhi and he on the senate of IIIT Delhi. Professional Societies, ACM Senior Member IAPR Industry Liaison Committee Member (since 2010), Journal editorships editorial board International Journal on Document Analysis and Recognition (IJDAR) 2011-2013.
